Focus Cost Math

The goal is to reduce focus cost per horse as specialization increases. Higher specialization means more animals can be nurtured with the same daily premium focus budget.

The values below are guide assumptions for planning unless you have verified current in-game focus numbers. Use them as targets for understanding the shape of the grind: early levels are focus-expensive, while high specialization turns the same focus budget into much more daily capacity.

Specialization improves focus efficiency. The main objective is reducing that focus bottleneck over time, not chasing guaranteed silver profit from any single market.

Phase 1: T3 Spam, Spec 0-30

Do not rush expensive tiers too early. T3 animals are cheaper to cycle and safer for early specialization. Daily 22-hour cycles build consistent fame, and low-tier mistakes are less expensive while you learn island rhythm.

Do not move into expensive horse tiers too early if your focus efficiency cannot support the volume.

T3 foundation strategy

  • Animal: T3 Journeyman Horse
  • Grow time: 22 hours
  • Risk level: low
  • Why it works: daily harvests compound fame, focus mistakes cost less, and the loop builds the efficiency foundation.

Phase 2: T5 Transition, Spec 30-60

Transition once focus cost feels manageable. T5 becomes the main economic loop once focus efficiency improves, but keep volume aligned with your daily focus budget.

Example capacity18 animals/day

Treat this as an illustration, not a universal guarantee. Your capacity depends on focus cost, island count, premium status, and how often you collect on schedule.

Saddled or armored products can improve margins depending on market prices. Check local prices before assuming the product form is always better.

Phase 3: Mastery Push, Spec 60-100

Higher specialization increases daily capacity. The endgame goal is lowering focus cost enough to scale production across more animals without burning through the full budget too early.

The 80 horses/day target is an example based on 10,000 focus and the assumed 125 focus floor. Verify current focus costs before treating it as your production plan.

Feed Optimization

Use cheap feed

Use carrots or the cheapest appropriate feed source when it gives the same growth result.

Use buy orders

Buy orders can reduce input cost when you are planning several days ahead.

Avoid panic buys

Avoid instant-buying large feed stacks unless time is more valuable than silver.

Scale carefully

Feed cost control matters more as you increase animal volume.
